INCREDIBLE - LUCIANA 5TH IN LONGINES FEI WOLRD RANKING
October 08, 2013

5th in the Longines FEI World Ranking - this is the result of Luciana's great constant work and treatment, that she is doing with her horses for a long time. Luciana has reached that place, showing top results every weekend, and with all her horses.

Edouard de Rothschild, rider and Honorary President of Jumping International Chantilly 2013: "I believe the show in Chantilly is now established as a must of the outdoor show jumping top sport season. The location is spectacular and the size and the quality of the footing of the Meautry ring is now just outstanding. We were lucky with the weather and the team of Mathieu Vincent did a top job in watering and maintaining the ground. I believe the event really exists now. I am happy and proud."

After three clear rounds, and the fastest time of the day in the jump-off Beezie Madden climbed to the top of the podium in Chantilly. Riding Cortes C (Randel Z x Darco) the American rider made sure to add yet another big win to her already long list of top results, taking home the the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix. And it didn't come easy either, with eight other top riders joining her in the jump-off after they had jumped double clear rounds around Uliano Vezzani's two demanding tracks.

It was a rather suitable finale to a wonderful weekend here in Chantilly. The CSI5* Prix EADS was a competition over two rounds and Italy's Uliano Vezzani certainly seemed determined to leave the riders working until the very end with a difficult two rounds.

After some disappointing results for both Frenchman Jerome Hurel and Patrice Delaveau in yesterday's Grand Prix of Chantilly, it seemed France was determined to conclude the weekend with a win, and thanks to Patrice, that is exactly what they did.

Luciana: 3rd position at Grand Prix of Global Champions Tour of Estoril – also 3rd place in the ranking
July 08, 2013

There was joy and heartbreak tonight as Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann seized his first Grand Prix win as Portuguese rider Luciana Diniz narrowly missed out on a home victory.

After one of the toughest Grand Prix of the season so far, in sizzling temperatures in Estoril, von Eckermann and Gotha came out on top with Scott Brash and Hello Sanctos the only other combination to jump three clear rounds.

After two difficult rounds in Madrid ee were set to see eight horse and rider combinations in the jump off. Richard Spooner and Cristallo were the first to jump off and they looked as though they intended to set a strong time. But alas, a fence down in the double combination would mean a 4 fault score for the "Master of Faster". Pius Schwizer and Powerplay also failed to keep all the rails up.

Luciana and Lennox in the lead after two classes

This was a tough day of jumping and a cliff-hanger of a competition right to very end. Not one of the 23 starters managed to complete Uliano Vezzani's first-round track without penalty, and only three left all the fences up in the second round and one of those - Sweden's Rolf-Goran Bengtsson - collected just a single time fault. Madden went into a third-round head-to-head with Olympic champion Steve Guerdat, but the 30-year-old Swiss rider had to settle for runner-up spot for the second year in a row while it was the strains of the Star Spangled Banner that rang out around the arena during the emotional prizegiving ceremony as 49-year-old Madden claimed the spoils.
